Hi dancers in Perth!
I was just given access to Alissa's venue for next Monday (She usually hosts her Cuban Salsa Mondays there but she's away next week), and I’ve decided to make the most of it by hosting a special spontaneous session.
After this week, she will resume her usual weekly classes at the same venue, same time. Do check it out here!

Some of you may have seen me on the dance floor, leading and following—whether at festivals or dance events. If not, feel free to ask me for a dance sometime! I genuinely enjoy both roles, and Bachata is something I’m particularly passionate about.
Over time, I’ve identified key aspects of partner dancing in Bachata that I believe are essential, and I’ve interpreted them in my own way.
Who this is for:
• Dancers who struggle with understanding frame and connection.
• Leaders looking to become more creative and fun on the dance floor.
• Followers finding it challenging to interpret what the leader wants.
Requirements to attend:
• Watch and understand this beginner video:

It’s only 17 minutes and easy to follow at home. I won’t have the capacity to teach them on the day and understanding it would help you keep up with the session.
• Sign up on Eventbrite and mark yourself as "going" once registered: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bachata-fundamentals-of-partner-dancing-by-erick-tickets-1096393655939?aff=oddtdtcreator
Topics I’ll cover:
1) The concept of leading and following.
2) What connection is and how it applies to partnerwork.
3) The meaning and importance of having a frame.
4) Weight shifting (understanding and applications).
5) How to understand figures and create your own.
6) How to never run out of moves on the dance floor.
7) Key things to look out for when dancing with someone.
8) How to dance with a beginner.
9) Incorporating musicality into partnerwork.
10) Steps to improve and learn outside of classes.
Cost:
Just the effort to understand the video and a smile when you walk into the room ?
