Come and enjoy a morning of live entertainment in the comfort of Hamilton Performing Arts Centre, including the Classics from J.S. Bach through to contemporary Broadway hits.This new production will highlight some of the classic opera songs from all the great European Opera Houses and winds it's way through to contemporary Broadway hits from the “City That Never Sleeps” - New York. Plus, you will hear about the fascinating story behind some of the worlds most loved songs and their composers.
Starring in this new production will be star tenor, Roy Best and international soprano, Alison Jones beautifully backed on the grand piano by rising virtuoso, William Schmidt, who will perform two stunning Bach pieces.
This concert will be narrated and compered by Christopher McKenna who will provide the usual laughs along the way.
Highlights include ‘Oh My Beloved Father’, ‘Mon Cur’, ‘Granada’, ‘O Sole Mio’ and Broadway classics including ‘If I Loved you’, ‘Time to say Goodbye’ and many more along with a specially arranged musical tribute to Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Morning tea included from 10.30am, and special prices available for seniors, concessions and children.
