Basic or Beginners Babysitting will give students the knowledge of what information to have before committing to the job, what to do in an emergency, practice skills of CPR, basic first aid, choking, back to bed, how to care for children of different ages, and much more.
Expand or Advanced Babysitting takes an additional time as students WILL become certified in Hearsaver CPR which includes infant, child, adult, AED and basic first aid. Heartsaver CPR books are included in the fee.
Both programs are designed to be interactive with discussions, role playing and games. Material is presented in person. This course is designed for students ages 10 and up.

Expanded:$100
Each class includes the cost of classroom materials. Students will receive their certificate(s) a notepad to use as a helpful reminder. Expanded students will receive all of the previous mentioned, along with their certification in CPR, First Aid and AED from the AHA which is good for 2 years. Babysitting books are available for purchase at an additional cost of $20.
Payment is due at the time of registration. Deadline to register is Friday, April 3, 2025 at noon, when the City Offices close. If the minimum number of participants are not met, course will be canceled and fees refunded.
Registration forms are available at City Offices or can be emailed. Forms and payment can be dropped off to Colin at City Hall. Payment forms accepted are cash, credit cards (a service fee will be applied) check made out to the City of Fremont. Please which class it is for in the meno. Again, Payment in full will secure your spot in the class. Class is limited to 8.
