Vamos!!Our monthly Chess Club competitions take place on the first Thursday of every month - all levels welcome!
⏰ START TIME:
6pm (please arrive at least 10 minutes before to sign up)
🔱 LEVELS (pending numbers):
-Pro - chess.com rating of over 1000.
-Chill - any level! No experience needed.
❔SETUP:
-Friendly knock-out tournament (or just come and play with a friend or friend-to-be!).
-We want you to get a few games in so if you lose the first round you will go into the minor league comp for the B final. That way, everyone gets at least two games.
-If you’re knocked out completely, grab a board and play with a stranger!
-Clocks will be provided to keep the games moving (Pro: 5 mins, Chill: 7 mins)
🍕 FOOD:
You’re welcome to bring food in - we highly recommend ordering pizza from the other end of the arcade at The Last Supper.
🍾 PRIZES:
-The winner of the main comps will walk away with a bottle of Babylon Bar owner's very own Wilkie Wines!
-The winner of the B comps will receive a free drink token to use on the spot or whenever they please.
This is a free and inclusive monthly event, so don’t worry if you’re not a chess wizard! 🧙♀️
