We have a new Turkey Vulture! S/he came from the wild as a kidnapped baby vulture; therefore, is a human imprint and considered non-releasable. With no way of knowing for sure what the gender is of this sweet bird, we did a DNA test. The results are in!
So join us for a unique event—a Gender Reveal Party Fundraiser for our Turkey Vulture, who will need a new, heated enclosure.
Turkey Vultures are migratory and do not spend the winters in Northern Arizona so we are building an enclosure with heat before the hard winter temperatures set in. This will take some funding.
And with any new member, the vulture will need new equipment and necessities; just like a new human baby.
This isn't just any party; it's a celebration to ensure our vulture has a cozy and safe space and the things needed for her/his new life.
At the heart of our event will be the moment when we slice into a cake to reveal the gender of our sweet Turkey Vulture. Will it be blue or pink? You'll have to be there to find out!
The day will also feature educational talks and opportunities to meet other members of our Flying Team as well as cupcakes and other refreshments. It’s a chance to have fun and learn more while supporting raptor conservation.
Spaces are very limited so be sure to RSVP/register early! Registration is $20 per person. Your attendance will help ensure a safer and more comfortable environment for our Turkey Vulture.
