You are warmly invited to join us for a special service of remembrance at 6.00pm on Thursday 12 October. Although the Great Eastern Run takes place earlier that day, all roads will be open again in time for the service. The Cathedral clergy will be joined by members of the Chaplaincy team from Peterborough City Hospital, who walk alongside families through times of deep loss. Together, we will create a gentle and supportive space to remember and honour precious babies who are always loved and never forgotten.
As part of Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October), a prayer station will be placed near Katharine of Aragon’s tomb. Here, anyone is welcome to leave the names of babies they would like remembered at the service, whether or not they are able to attend in person.
Throughout the week, the Cathedral will also be lit in pink and blue – a visible sign of solidarity, love, and remembrance.
