It's never too early to start storytime adventures! Coming soon... Our new Baby Lapsit Storytime program will be starting on Monday, March 2nd! It will be held every Monday morning at 10:30 am. This storytime is designed for babies from birth to 18 months; however, toddlers and siblings are welcome. Early literacy skills are supported through lap bounces, songs, and an engaging story, followed by playtime that encourages caregiver-child bonding and community connection.
For the first part of the hour, we will sing songs and lap bounces to promote baby's sense of rhythm and balance while also slowing down our speech to help baby grasp the building blocks of language. We will also read an engaging story and promote sensory awareness.
During the latter part of the hour, we will have unstructured playtime. This time will help strengthen early literacy skills and promote bonding between caregiver and baby while also fostering a sense of community.
