About this Event
Have you been looking to meet up with other gender expansive, gender queer, non-binary and other gender identifying music producers? This meetup is for you! We are welcoming of all, but are centering Gender Expansive individuals, seeing as women and non-binary people make up only 3.4% of music producers in the industry and there are no studies that strictly identify the percentage of non-binary producers.
It’s time to increase those numbers, a rising tide raises all ships! We welcome all experience levels, beginner to advanced. Let’s build community and create an increasing statistic of gender diversity in the music production world. The session will include a brief queer electronic music history lesson, a lesson on sound synthesis, song feedback and socializing.

Suggested donation $5 - $15 but NOTAFTLOF, so please do not hesitate to attend if you cannot donate at this time, we ask that you just pay it forward however you see fit. This session will be an IRL + Virtual hybrid event. Those who cannot attend in person can attend online (online link will be sent via email after you RSVP). <3

What is Baba's House?
We are an immersive community event space in downtown Oakland, CA. We focus on events that uplift our BIPOC & creative community. We offer our space to creatives to explore and experiment with their own passions. (IE: Living Room Sessions - creatives can perform for their own private guest list at no cost.
We're working hard to keep this a safe space for folks to convene.
Our goal is to build legacies, spark creativity & build community.
