Baba Yaga's Enchantment - Slavic Magic Festival
Journey into the deep forest and immerse yourself in the world of the Slavic witch of the woods. Baba Yaga's Enchantment is a mystical multi-sensory festival to celebrate Baba Yaga, the most famous witch of Slavic folklore. Join Madame Pamita, author of Baba Yaga's Book of Witchcraft, Twisted Heart Puppetworks, and Ukrainian singer Alina Pash, for an evening of storytelling, shadow puppetry, music, and Slavic witchcraft. Dress in Slavic costume and come before the show to shop the Witches' Marketplace and experience unearthly encounters, costumed forest creatures, Baba Yaga-inspired art, readings with divine oracles, and traditional Ukrainian crafts.
Step out of ordinary reality and into the otherworld in a multi-faceted performance where Madame Pamita will have you gather 'round to hear about the true origins and magic of the witch of the woods. Immerse yourself in the debut of Twisted Heart Puppetworks' new shadow puppet folktale of Baba Yaga and the Wolf King. Dive into the ancient-modern ritual music of Ukrainian singer Alina Pash.
