The University of the West Indies Department of Creative & Festival Arts (DCFA), Visual Arts Unit, proudly announces the Degree Visual Arts Exhibition 2026, showcasing the works of students of the BA Visual Arts (Special) programme.The exhibition runs from Tuesday 21 April to Friday 1 May 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, at the Central Bank Museum. A formal Opening Night Ceremony will be held on Monday 20 April at 5:00 p.m. (by invitation only).
This exhibition represents the final academic assessment for students, featuring works produced for courses including Fine Art 3 (VART 3013), Fine Art Lab 3 (VART 3201), and Ideas in Design Culture 2 (VART 2042). Visitors can expect a dynamic collection of conceptual artworks spanning drawing, painting, and three-dimensional design.
Curated by lecturers Michelle Boyd, Nikolai Noel, and Steve Ouditt, the exhibition highlights the technical competence and conceptual depth developed by students over three years of study. Selected works from the 2026 graduating cohort will be displayed throughout the museum space, creating an immersive gallery experience.
The exhibition is open to the public from Tuesday 21 April to Friday 1 May, inviting art enthusiasts, students, educators, alumni, and the wider community to experience the next generation of Caribbean artists
