BA JOHNSTON
BA Johnston is a highly spirited musician hailing from Hamilton, Ontario. His songs are unabashedly honest, uniquely quirky, and cover controversial topics such as: deep frying, pirates, poutine, video games, and love. He has released five albums and has spent the last eighteen years touring the country in his mother’s Toyota Previa minivan, providing Canadians with a truly wild performance. He has shared the stage with acts like The Rheostatics, The Constantines, Cuff the Duke, The Silverhearts, The Guthries, and Joel Plaskett.

HABIT
Habit is a seething, emotional rock and roll band from Guelph, ON. The group is comprised of lead vocalist/guitarist Brock Boonstra with the propulsive rhythm section of drummer Dana Bellamy and bassist Olexa Brisson. Combining the angular guitars, jarring dynamics, and militantly DIY spirit of post-punk with the acerbic lyricism of vintage indie rock and the bleeding-heart intensity of early emo, Habit has garnered acclaim for its EPs ‘Debut’ and 'The Last Testament.'
Across those recordings, Habit has come into a sound inspired equally by The Clash, Pavement, and Guelph’s own Constantines, sneaking abstruse chordings, thunder-crack percussion, and tidal waves of noise into agitated art-rock.
Simmering with a stoic intensity, Habit's live reputation has led to performances at Riverfest Elora and Brantford’s Gnarfest in 2024. Previously, the band has opened for legendary indie rockers Cloud Nothings at Lee's Palace and Polaris Prize-nominated jangle poppers Apollo Ghosts at the final Kazoo! Fest, as well as the beer-swilling troubadour BA Johnston, Montreal hellraisers Family Man, and Calgary noiseniks Sunglaciers.
