In celebration of the Fall Equinox, discover the basics of a traditional detox that will help you re-align with the rhythms of nature. Rather than being about deprivation and control, Ayurvedic cleansing offers something different—an opportunity to reset your system in a way that feels grounded and nourishing. Join Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner Molly McConnell to learn why Ayurvedic cleansing is so effective and how it works, as well as what you need to consider when preparing for your own cleanse.
This 2 hour workshop will begin with a short yoga practice, featuring postures that support the body's natural detoxification process and allow us to feel centered. From there, we will transition into the basics of Ayurvedic cleansing, by first orienting to what Ayurveda is and where it comes from.
Molly will provide herbal tea as you learn about the key components of a traditional cleanse and discover ways to customize your own experience by working within a time-tested framework. You will also gain insight into the root causes of toxic buildup in your own body, as well as how to identify it and release it.
Not only will you walk away with a deeper understanding of a care-centered approach to cleansing, but you will also get to take home your own traditional Ayurvedic herbal tea and body oil.
If you’re curious about cleansing in a way that is safe, enjoyable and effective, this is the workshop for you. Bring your questions, a mug for tea and a yoga mat for the movement portion of this class.
