Who this is for:

  • Yoga practitioners looking to deepen their practice through understanding their unique constitution and imbalances.
  • Those seeking practical tools to feel grounded, energized, and balanced in their day-to-day life.
  • Anyone curious about Ayurveda, its rhythms, and how it connects to modern living.

Series Overview:

  1. The Elements & Qualities – Returning to Nature: Explore the five elements, their qualities, and how they manifest in your body, mind, and environment. Learn the principle of opposites for balance and begin integrating it into your Yoga practice.
  2. The Doshas – Understanding Your Constitution; Discover your unique dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), learn to identify tendencies in body and mind, and experience practices tailored to each dosha, including a pulse check with Karen.
  3. Prakriti vs. Vikriti – Balance & Imbalance: Understand your natural constitution versus current imbalances. Learn how lifestyle, stress, and seasons affect your state, and experience Yoga sequences and breathwork to restore equilibrium.
  4. The Mind & Gunas – Cultivating Clarity: Dive into the three gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) and their influence on mental clarity and emotional balance. Practices focus on cultivating Sattva to support a mindful, harmonious Yoga experience.
  5. Dinacharya – Daily Rhythms for Balance: Explore Ayurvedic daily routines for optimal health, energy, and focus. Learn practical rituals and micro-practices to incorporate Ayurveda into your modern lifestyle alongside your Yoga practice.
  6. Integration – Ayurveda as a Living Practice: Bring it all together: elements, doshas, gunas, daily rhythms, and seasonal living. Learn to create your own personalized Ayurvedic Yoga toolkit for continued balance and wellbeing.

What you will walk away with:

  • Knowledge of Ayurveda basics: elements, doshas, gunas, prakriti/vikriti.
  • Personalized awareness of your constitution and current imbalances.
  • Practical tools: Yoga sequences, breathwork, meditation, and daily rituals.
  • The ability to integrate Ayurveda into your Yoga practice and daily life for lasting balance.

Why this is powerful: Ayurveda is not just theory — it’s a living practice. By understanding yourself at a deeper level, you can unlock a Yoga practice that truly nourishes you, cultivates balance, and supports your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. This series bridges ancient wisdom with modern life, giving you practical, embodied ways to live Ayurveda, not just study it.
