Course Description:
Deepen your knowledge of Ayurveda (yoga's sister science)
Walk away with a deeper connection to Ayurveda:
- Explore Ayurvedic lifestyle and self-care practices for yoga teachers
- Learn tips for living in harmony with the 3 doshas
- Peel back the layers of subtle body anatomy & physiology
- Study the Ayurvedic approach to seasonal yoga
- Uncover how to live more sattvic to enhance peacefulness
- Learn tools for energetic well being and vata management

*Required Reading: Yoga and Ayurveda by David Frawley (Pay Special Attention to Chapters 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 14, and 15)
*Do survey in Chapters 3 and 4 (does not need to be turned in)
*Required HW to be submitted in PDF form by Thursday, April 27: Write 3 paragraphs total: 1 for each dosha (vata, pitta, kapha)--summarizing the doshic season, elements, qualities, functions, locations in the body/mind, common imbalances, and simple ways to restore doshic balance. Send paragraphs to Katie at [email protected] in PDF FORM.
*Required Audio Resource: Ayurveda for Meditators. YTT students can purchase at a discounted rate of $14.50. There will be an email sent to you with more details after registration.
