PM Main XC Waterplay information:
Duration - 60 minutes
Group size - Max 4
Ridden or in-hand (but must be sensible in an open group and well mannered in-hand)
Suitable for -
Horses 4+ year old - ridden/inhand/bit of both
Horses will navigate to the large water complex on the main course. The aim is to build water confidence and control and teach your horse how to be confident with natural obstacles. Note - the course will be open to public and may have other users on the course so please consider if you're horse will be suitable for this session. Only the water complex will be used - not the whole course.
Sessions will run hourly from 2.30pm-5.30pm - times are done nearer the date.
General info:
While the water, steps, ditches and banks are key features of this clinic, it takes a confidence-building, trekking, horsemanship-focused approach, rather than a show jumping or eventing style one. The goal is to build trust in a controlled environment. Rather than pushing for speed or intensity, it is kept at a calm, thoughtful pace, with anything faster than a walk being entirely optional and dependent on each horse's individual comfort level. Riders can choose the pace during the session that works best for them and their horse.
Use of any of the show jumps/XC jumps in the arena is prohibited.
