About this Event
Now in its 12th season, the Breno Italy International Music Academy (BIIMA), founded by Maghan McPhee, continues to empower the next generation of artists through a deeply nurturing, student-led environment where young performers are guided to awaken their authentic artistry and voice.
This special evening also shines a light on BIIMA’s Composition Program, developed in partnership with the Canadian Music Centre and the Association for Canadian Women Composers. Through this initiative, emerging and established composers alike are mentored by award-winning cellist and composer Margaret Maria, whose mission is to support artists in discovering and expressing their unique creative voice.
Set in an intimate setting with only 40 seats available, this exclusive concert invites you into a close and personal artistic experience, complemented by wine and cheese.
This event is also a fundraiser in support of a summer scholarship, helping a young artist access the transformative experience of BIIMA.
Join us for an inspiring evening featuring Maghan McPhee, Margaret Maria, and a vibrant community of past and present BIIMA artists, including Anna Lehn, Gianna Scarapicchia, Eliot Generoux, Sarah Hume, Ember-Leah Reed, Nieve Xiao & Meredith McCabe, with collaborative pianist Nadia Boucher, as we celebrate creativity, mentorship, and the power of artistic awakening.
