Autumn Theatre Classes for Kids & Teens – Helsinki
This autumn, Youth Theatre Helsinki is excited to offer a series of theatre classes for kids and teens aged 10–17. Held twice a week in Helsinki, these classes provide a fun, supportive, and creative environment where young people can explore acting, improvisation, storytelling, and movement.

First class: Thursday, October 23rd
Over the course of the term, participants will engage in playful group activities, acting exercises, and improvisation games that encourage creative thinking, collaboration, and confidence. Each session is guided by professional theatre practitioners who help students explore their imagination and develop performance skills — regardless of previous experience.
Classes are taught in English, with support in Finnish and Swedish, making them inclusive and accessible to a diverse group of young people in Helsinki. Students will learn to express themselves creatively, work as part of a team, and build confidence both on and off the stage.
The focus is on the process of learning and exploring theatre. We aim to cultivate a love for creative expression, encourage curiosity, and provide a playful, inspiring space for all participants.
We understand that schedules vary — whether your child can join only Thursdays, only Saturdays, or both days each week, we’ll gladly accommodate them and discuss possible adjustments to the course fee.
No previous theatre experience is required — all that’s needed is curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to play.
