? RSPCA ACT Shelter Open Day – Behind the Scenes Tours ?Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at your local animal shelter?
Join us for RSPCA ACT’s Shelter Open Day and get rare access to areas of the shelter that the public doesn’t normally see. Meet our dedicated staff and volunteers, learn about the work we do, and discover how we care for nearly 3,000 animals every year.
You’ll have the opportunity to take a guided behind-the-scenes tour, including a special look inside our veterinary clinic, where thousands of animals receive lifesaving treatment each year.
And of course… there’s a good chance you’ll meet some adorable puppies, kittens and other animals currently in our care. From dogs and cats to rabbits, roosters and maybe even a pig. You never quite know who will be staying at the shelter until the day!

• Information about adoption, fostering, volunteering and more
• Raffle tickets
• Retail stall
• The chance to meet animals looking for loving homes
Entry is free, and everyone is welcome - but please leave your own pets at home.
If you’re able, we encourage visitors to bring along a bag, tin or can of pet food to donate to the RSPCA ACT's Community Pet Pantry, which helps support vulnerable pet owners in our community and keeps families and their beloved pets together.
Come along, ask questions, meet the team, and see firsthand the work being done to protect and care for animals in the ACT.
