We are very pleased to be hosting this workshop run by Sarah Hunter as an introduction to the joy of nature journalling.Journaling is a wonderful way for you to release stress, anxiety and tension. It is your processing method when confusion and fogginess strike. And it is your voice when you feel as though you are shouting into the void with nobody really hearing you.
What will you be doing?
I invite you to join this nurturing circle with myself, Sarah Hunter, author and poet. It’s OK if you’ve never journalled before. It’s OK if your spelling, punctuation and grammar aren’t brilliant. It’s OK if you can’t tell the difference between a Blackbird and a Mallard. That’s not why we’re here. There is no judgement and no expectation. You are simply invited to have a wonderfully mindful morning that could change the way the world makes you feel, for the better.
Together, we will begin with a guided meditation, some gentle movement practice and a short journalling warm-up. We will then set off into the surrounding countryside with three simple, mindful observation and gathering exercises . Back in the Longhouse, we will use what we have gathered to create some short pieces for your journal. Sharing is entirely optional and only if you feel comfortable.
We will finish with a short meditation and guidance on how to keep using these techniques so that you can enjoy that beautiful experience again and again.
Tea and cake will be provided so please do let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
This is one of a series of 3 seasonal workshops to be held throughout the year: 10th May, 5th July and 4th October. You can book the set or book pay-as-you-go workshops if you prefer.
