You are warmly invitation to come along to a celebration of the Autumn Equinox at the Aquarius Healing and Education Centre, 154 Mt Barker Rd Stirling on Friday 20th March 7pm -8.30pm. (The exact Equinox time is 1.14am 21/03). We will turn the wheel of the year and celebrate magically together.
At the Equinoxes, we celebrate balance among other things and also look forward either to the move towards winter or (as in the Northern hemisphere), the move towards summer. It is in terms of light- equal day/equal night and the pivotal/balance points between summer and winter. At the equinox, we are also moving from the sign of Pisces- the 12th and last house of the wheel of the year, into the 1st house of Aries- a masculine fire sign with a cardinal quality. On the wheel of the year, the sign opposite Aries is Libra and above and below are Capricorn and Cancer creating both an opposition and the cardinal cross shining upon us from the cosmos. We can share more about these energies at the ceremony.
Although there is much change in the world everywhere as well as the changing seasons, I can still see the apples and figs ripening on my trees along with the hazel nuts and leaves which are both beginning to colour and fall as they do every year. Maybe one of the reasons we turn the wheel of the year ceremonially, is to remind us of both of the reoccurring familiar patterns of nature along with the ebb and flowing changes she brings. This also reminds us that life/cosmos is both change as well as constancy and eternal changelessness.
You are all very welcome to come to this ceremony to join in the group celebration, contemplation and magic, as are all who come in love and for the good of all – so bring your likeminded friends and also some food to share if you are staying for a celebratory supper.
