– West-MEC’s Northeast Campus will host the annual West-MEC Auto Skills Challenge on Saturday, March 28, beginning at 9 a.m. The event will bring together West-MEC Automotive Technology students for a high-energy competition that tests their technical knowledge, precision, and hands-on automotive skills.
The Auto Skills Challenge is an annual signature event in which first-year and second-year automotive students compete separately in a series of real-world automotive tasks. Throughout the competition, students will demonstrate their abilities in diagnostics, repair procedures, tool usage, safety practices, and overall technical proficiency.
Top performers in each division will earn prizes such as professional tool sets and industry recognition, highlighting both their dedication and career readiness. This year, more than $10,000 in awards and prizes will be presented, thanks to the generous support of West-MEC’s industry partners.
