About this Event
The Autism Social Spectrum of Columbia will be headed to the Richland Library downtown this month! We will participate in their Calm & Connect event. For more information on the event: https://www.richlandlibrary.com/event/2025-11-23/calm-connect.
We will be meeting in the library's auditorium. When you arrive, if you need directions to the auditorium, let a staff member know that you are there to attend the "Calm & Connect Event."

"Check-out a new, welcoming library experience designed for all individuals including adults with disabilities and sensory-sensitivities. This is a judgement free space to browse, read, craft, relax or engage in quiet conversation.
Enjoy a low stimulation environment with gentle lighting in our auditorium space. Participants may also access calming materials fidgets and noise-reducing headphones. Library staff are trained in accommodations, modifications, and will be available for support.
This month, we will be making DIY fidgets and fidget jewelry. Give them as gifts or utilize the support they provide during stressful holiday moments. All materials will be provided and library staff will share inclusive instructions.
Snacks will be provided."
