About this Event
This family-friendly free event promises you'll be moved, gain insight, and be entertained while you relax on the lawn under the towering trees of the eight-acre historic Sonoma Plaza.
Bring a picnic or purchase food and beverages from the many restaurants that border the square. Bring blankets or beach chairs. A limited number of folding chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for those who find sitting on the ground too difficult.
Though this is a free event, registering will help us manage the event efficiently and determine how many volunteers will be required to make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone, so PLEASE REGISTER
Also,
- No single-use plastic bottles are allowed on the Sonoma Plaza
- Attendance assumes consent to drone, video, and still photography
- Attendees will NOT be asked to show their proof of registration
Pre-order a special picnic lunch from one of the many Sonoma restaurants to bring to the event—crafted just for the occasion and ready to enjoy under the trees while listening to four acclaimed authors.
Sonoma residents Cathy and Chuck Williamson have graciously sponsored this event for our community. The Sonoma Valley Authors Festival is honored to have their support.
Readers' Books will have copies of the presenting authors' books available for sale and signing after all have presented.
This event is part of the ninth annual Sonoma Valley Authors Festival, the three-day-weekend lecture series to be held May 1-3 at the Sonoma Mission Inn (purchase passes at our website,) Students Day at local schools on Friday, May 1 (not open to the public,) and the 2026 Virtual Festival (available for free viewing May 25- June 21.)
