ABOUT THE BOOK
Six hundred years after the Nightweavers claimed the continents for their own, the ocean is the only safe haven for humanity— including seventeen-year-old Aster and her family. Nightweavers, holy beings from a higher realm cursed with untamed power over the elements, were supposed to leave the seas alone— until now. When a Nightweaver murders Aster's brother during an epic battle in the Western Sea, she discovers there are monsters in her realm worse than Nightweavers, worse than her most feverish nightmares. They eat humans, steal their souls, and above all, seek absolute power.
A handsome Nightweaver named Will offers Aster and her family protection; instead of taking them prisoner, he offers work at his opulent estate. Will is the arrogant and entitled right hand to the wicked prince, but as Aster begrudgingly adjusts to her new role as kitchen maid of Bludgrave Manor, she finds her hatred of Will blooming into attraction. She glimpses moments of empathy and kindness—and better yet, discovers he may be the key to avenging her brother and reclaiming her family’s freedom. As Aster hunts the one responsible for her brother’s death, dark secrets that once existed only as legend threaten to unravel everything she believed her world to be.
