Join author Andrew Loftesnes at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library in Meeting Room B. His book is entitled Looking for Billy: The Story of an American Life.There are over 58,000 names on the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. This is the story of one of them. Looking for Billy - The Story of an American Life recounts the story of William Mooers, a U.S. Marine killed in Vietnam at the age of 19, who is buried in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Andrew Loftesnes has served in the U.S. Marines and as a humanitarian volunteer in Ukraine. His parents are from North Dakota, and he lives in Washington D.C. If you have a story that you want to tell, he encourages you to just go for it. Likewise, he urges you to write down your own story, and the stories of those around you to preserve for future generations.
Loftesnes will share his journey of writing the book, and will have copies available for purchase.
