Join us for an author talk with local author Lyn Brown who is launching her first book True Confessions from the Hardback Cafe'. Lyn worked in many bookshops including Batemans Bay, Moruya, Narooma and Ulladulla for more than 30 years.
The bookshop in Orange was called the Hardback Cafe' and it lent itself to the title of the book. Lyn had kept a tongue-in-cheek diary of the weird and unusual happenings in these establishments and started writing it down during Covid.
Lyn's memoir is a "compelling and engaging professional memoir of the life of a bookseller in Australia. It entertains interests and surprises the reader".
Enjoy listening to a great author and take the chance to purchase a signed copy of her book. Light refreshments will be served prior to the talk.

- Your attendance at events supported by Eurobodalla Libraries may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council’s websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending this session, you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
- Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.
- A maximum of 4 tickets can be booked per event.
- Age ranges are placed on events to ensure children have the best experience possible. Please do not book your child into an event if they do not meet this requirement.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.
Cancellations
- Our events often book out. If you are unable to attend, please let us know before the event so we can allocate your spot to another person.
- Occasionally, we need to cancel an event due to insufficient bookings or unforeseen circumstances. If we need to cancel an event you will be notified via email or telephone and your ticket fee will be fully refunded. Events cancelled by Eurobodalla Libraries will not incur a cancellation fee.
- You can cancel your ticket up to 48 hours before the start of an event and have your ticket fee refunded. These cancellations will incur a small Eventbrite booking fee. To cancel, log into Eventbrite using the email you used to purchase your ticket.
