Join us in the multipurpose room (Building N12) at the Sierra College Nevada County Campus for an engaging conversation with Daniel Mason, author of North Woods. As a professor of psychiatry at Stanford, Daniel teaches and writes about the intersections of medicine, narrative, and the human imagination. Nevada County Library is honored to welcome Daniel Mason as the featured author for Nevada County Reads 2026, celebrating North Woods and storytelling that reveals our shared connection to place, memory, and the living world.
Daniel will have a conversation with our library director Nick Wilczek about writing, the arts, and humanity's place in the natural world. Conversation will be followed with a live Q&A.
Doors at 6PM, Event to start at 6:30PM.
Daniel's books will be available at the event from Harmony Books and there will be a short signing engagement after the main event.
This event is free to the public and is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read.
