We welcome back Dr. Mary Jumbelic, retired Medical Examiner for Onondaga County, to celebrate her new book "Speak Her Name"! Mary’s first award-winning book "Here, Where Death Delights" demonstrated her work-life balance and experiences in the world of forensic science, autopsies and mass graves. Her new work "Speak Her Name: Stories from a Life of True Crime" is another work of creative nonfiction, a memoir that will focus on the women in Mary’s work as she shares their stories.
Dr. Jumbelic will be visiting all three NOPL branches as she debuts her sophomore novel; Mary will appear at NOPL North Syracuse on August 28th, followed by our Brewerton event on September 10th, and NOPL Cicero on October 14th.
