About this Event

Sara Youngblood Gregory is an award-winning lesbian journalist, editor, and author. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The New Republic, New York Magazine, Vice, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, The Guardian, , and many others. Sara serves on the board of the lesbian literary and arts journal Sinister Wisdom, where she is currently editing the forthcoming Butch-Femme Renaissance issue. She was the News and Reporting Spring 2023 Fellow at TransLash Media, covering anti-trans legislation and community organizing in her home state of Florida. In 2023, Sara was the recipient of the Curve and NLGJA Award for Emerging Journalists. Sara's debut speculative poetry collection won the 2023 Pamet River Prize from YesYes Books and is out this May 2026.

Dan Kraines is a queer poet of Viennese, Bolivian, and Ukrainian heritage. Their first book is . Dan won the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Adjunct Teaching and they also teach creative writing to underserved high school students. Queer Longing, their PhD dissertation, won the Susan B. Anthony prize for gender and sexuality studies from the University of Rochester. Dan lives in an old tenement building on the Lower East Side.

- Seating is first come, first serve. We have 20 chairs and standing room after that. If you are unable to stand for the duration of the event, please contact us and we will reserve a seat for you. Our space is small.
