About the book:

Read about the unprecedented pressures of balancing the duties of the First Lady with her role in her family, behind the scenes stories from Camp David and Air Force One, how the Biden presidency changed the nation, what she saw leading up to President Biden’s decision to drop out of the 2024 election, her unwavering faith in democracy and the American experiment, and much more.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the shadow of the January 6 insurrection, Joe and Jill Biden arrived at the White House for one of the most complicated periods in recent American memory. A tireless advocate for women’s health initiatives, military families, cancer prevention, and education, Dr. Biden also made history as the only First Lady to hold a career outside the East Wing as a community college professor. Now, in her new memoir, she reveals her experience of these deeply consequential four years for the first time — before, during, and after the unexpected ending to her husband’s bid for re-election, setting the record straight and sharing her story in her own words.

About the Author:

Jill Biden, former First Lady of the United States, is the New York Times bestselling author of Where the Light Enters and her children’s books Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops, Joey: The Story of Joe Biden, and Willow the White House Cat. She served as Second Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. As First Lady, she advocated for military families, the Biden Cancer Moonshot, community colleges, and women’s health research—and maintained a full-time career teaching English as a community college professor. She chairs the Milken Institute’s Women’s Health Network. A mother and grandmother—and now great-grandmother—she lives with her husband, former President Joe Biden, in Wilmington, Delaware, with their cat, Willow.
