About this Event
‘The Women Are Not Fine’ is a feminist true crime investigation into a group of Hungarian women, driven to desperate acts, who poisoned their husbands in the early 20th century. Using archival documents, Reese pieces together the women’s real stories, their motives, and the events of the dramatic trial.
Reese has spoken about her journalism on BBC Woman's Hour, as well as the Irish Times Women's Podcast, and is highly acclaimed by authors such as Helen Lewis, Virginia Feito and Kate Moore. ‘The Women are Not Fine’ is her debut book.
