On Friday, March 6, we’re excited to welcome the creative team of author Carole Boston Weatherford and her son illustrator Jeffery Boston Weatherford to Haycock. They’ll share their stories, art, and creative process with students during special grade-level assemblies.A huge thank-you to our PTA for making this memorable experience possible for our students. 💙
About our visiting creators:
• Carole Boston Weatherford is the award-winning author of more than 80 books, including Newbery, Coretta Scott King, and multiple Caldecott Honor titles.
• Jeffery Boston Weatherford is an award-winning illustrator, poet, and artist whose work has been shared across the U.S. and internationally.
👉 Book Orders & Signing Information:
• Purchase books (and request signatures) through our partner R.E.A.D.’s Book Nook (https://www.readbooknook.org/author-visit-carole-boston-weatherford).
• Orders are due February 20.
• Books will be delivered directly to students’ classrooms.
• Already have a book? Please send it to the library by March 5 for signing.
