☯︎ WHAT IS AUTHENTIC RELATING TRAINING?
Our Authentic Relating Training Level 1: Foundations is a course that helps refine communication skills and deepen human connections across all social contexts. From the workplace to the living room, from strangers to partners, and everyone in between.
The practices are designed to be as accessible, adaptable, and engaging as possible, so you can apply your new skills to your life right away, with immediate results.
This is not a lecture or seminar—it is a deep dive full-immersion training that emphasizes interactive and experiential learning. It will leave you enlivened, heart and mind-opened, and deeply connected to yourself and others.
This course is truly for everyone wanting better relationships, no matter your level of prior experience or training.

Our experienced facilitators will guide you through a thoroughly tested and proven sequence of interactive exercises.
The Level 1 course includes skills and practices in these areas:
- The ability to engage in deep, meaningful, soulful conversations with anyone, anytime, anywhere
- A powerful language and skill-set to accurately and transparently express your authentic experience in real time, and to invite others to do the same
- The awareness to identify your true, core desires, and the ability to articulate them to others
- A deep understanding of the dignity of speaking your authentic voice, and the humility of using your eyes and ears to pay attention to, and learn from, the people and world around you
- The ability to see and reflect the essential being in others, and to gently guide them into a space in which they can be fully, wholly themselves—one of the greatest gifts we can offer each other
- A complete set of powerful tools to de-escalate conflict and to use it as a vehicle leading to deeper connection, understanding, and empathy
- A restored connection to genuine, childlike curiosity, and a perspective that sees the world with awe and wonder
- Mastering the skill of naming, creating and negotiating powerful context for relationships and events, alongside a deep understanding of the profound impact context has in shaping our experience of life—both on a personal and collective level
- An experience of vulnerable, intimate, beautiful connections with other participants that will leave you inspired, delighted, and heart-opened

Our expert facilitators are highly qualified and bring years of experience teaching Authentic Relating. Our curriculum designers have chosen and created the most innovative and effective relational practices available to deliver a life-changing experience that deepens with practice.
𓄼 ASH WITHAM | Course Leader
Based in Los Angeles, Ash (she/they) has trained in various movement, communication, and connection methods around the globe for 10+ years. Her formal education at UCLA, Authentic Relating Course Leader certification through ART International, coaching certification through The Relateful Co., and continued research in somatics and interpersonal development, inform her craft of rich experiences for embodied expression and full-spectrum intimacy.
From co-founding Shadow Academy alongside senior course leader Chris Gray, to launching the first retreat dedicated to the combination of Authentic Relating and Contact Improv (ARCI Retreat), to daylong immersions and 1:1 coaching–these offerings weave in the wisdom of shadow work, attachment theory, somatics, relatefulness, emotional intelligence, identity work, and awareness of choice to empower you, your relationships, and your life.
