Authentic Movement: A Somatic & Jungian-Informed Workshop

Authentic Movement is a contemplative, somatic practice rooted in Jungian psychology that invites you to listen inward and move from what is true, rather than what is expected. With eyes closed and attention turned toward your inner experience, you’ll explore the natural impulses of the body in a quiet, supported space.
Drawing from somatic awareness and depth psychology, this workshop offers a structured introduction to the practice, including guidance in sensing and tracking internal experience, a foundational understanding of the inner and outer witness, and time to explore movement in partnership. No prior experience is needed.
Through this work, participants often develop:
- Greater self-awareness and connection to the body
- Increased capacity to notice and follow internal cues
- A deeper sense of presence and nervous system regulation
- Insight into unconscious patterns, emotions, and internal experience
- The ability to be with themselves—and others—with less judgment
This is not a dance class or a performance space. It is a practice of listening, witnessing, and allowing—both within yourself and in relationship with another.
