AUT Offgrid Presents: Cascade Kauri!We are heading to the wonderful Te Piringa / Cascade Kauri within Waitākere Ranges Regional Park
We will start at the Falls Road trailhead and complete a loop track consisting of 4 trails: Auckland City Walk, Upper Kauri Track, Long Road and Fence Line Tracks. The track is moderately challenging and is well-maintained. It is a steep track with lots of stairs so keep this and your own fitness level in mind and let us know if you have any concerns. Length: 9.3km, Elevation gain: 457m, Route type: Loop
Trip Cost: $7 (Gas Money - Carpooling)
Meeting Point: AUT City Campus
Game Plan:
8:45am Meet at City Campus
9:15am Leave for Falls Road
10:00am Arrive at Falls Road Car Park
10:15am Start walk
12:30pm Lunch at Waitakere Dam
1pm Head back to carpark
2:30pm Back at carpark & head to AUT
3:30/4pm Back on campus
