Australian Wine Night at The Locks
Australia has long been known for bold, expressive wines, but the story today is far richer and more nuanced. From the elegant cool-climate vineyards of Tasmania to the sun-drenched valleys of South Australia, modern Australian winemaking balances power with finesse, innovation with heritage.
Guiding us through the evening will be our man from a land down-under Tony Park, aka @thegrapecrusader, who will help us to explore a carefully selected flight of Aussie wines, each chosen to showcase a different region, grape variety and style. Expect an enjoyable journey through crisp whites, vibrant aromatics and beautifully structured reds.
As always at The Locks, the atmosphere will be informal and welcoming — the perfect setting to learn a little, taste a lot, and enjoy good company.
Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or simply curious to explore something new, this promises to be an enjoyable evening of discovery.
As always, our wine nights are informative but informal—no snobbery, no pressure, just great wine and good company.
Tickets are £39.50/person which be bought on Eventbrite or in person at The Locks.
You'll be greeted with fizz on arrival and charcuterie boards during the evening (please message [email protected] if you have an allergy).
All of the wines tasted will also be available to purchase at the end of the evening. Whilst the tasting will conclude around 9pm, as always we'll remain open to spend a little extra time discussing and finishing your wines.
