About this Event

Join us to explore historic Howe House, built nearly 200 years ago by John Howe, local Government Appraiser, Chief Constable and Coroner. Learn about its transition from private dwelling to inn to newspaper office throughout the 1800s and what life might have been like for those who lived and worked there.

Accessibility Note

On the ground floor, the parlour and long room may be accessed with portable ramps, while the RAAF room requires two steps down to enter. The basement requires eight steps down to access and has an uneven stone floor. The first floor of Howe House is not open to the public due to the steep staircase.
