The National Trust and the Heritage Council of Victoria presents this opportunity for visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in Victoria’s rich history, while exploring the exciting discipline of archaeology.
Participants will hear from a panel of professional experts about archaeological heritage and its conservation, followed by an opportunity to work with a NTAV Dig Director who will guide them as they uncover and analyse artefacts in a simulated archaeological site. Participants will learn how to survey and read the landscape using archaeological thinking.
Hear from professional archaeologists working in Victoria about what a day at the office is like. Our panellists will discuss career pathways in archaeology, travel and of course their favourite and most memorable digs and discoveries.
