Join us for the 2025 Australian Boomerang Throwing Championships! 🪃🏆SATURDAY 12th April
Throwers from around the country will take part in the 6 set events.
ACCURACY - 2 rounds, 5 throws per round. Maximum total points achievable 100.
Points awarded if lands within accuracy circles. 10 points for closest return from throw position within 2 metre centre circle followed by 8,6,4 or 2 points.
AUSTRALIAN ROUND - 1 round, 5 throws. Maximum total points 100. Points awarded for distance, accuracy and catch.
ENDURANCE - 1 round, timed event for 5 minutes.
Throw and catch, number of catches recorded when times up.
FAST CATCH - 2 rounds, timed event, 1 minute each round.
Make 5 catches in one minute or less, lowest time or highest number of catches recorded.
MTA (Maximum Time Aloft) - 5 rounds, timed event each round.
Longest time in the air with a catch wins.
TRICK CATCH/DOUBLING - 2 rounds. 1st round ONE boomerang 10 different trick catches, 2nd round TWO boomerangs thrown together. Level of difficulty and points for each catch increases.

SUNDAY 13th April
We have a fun day organised for all the whole family, you are welcome to have a go in our throw stick event, will you hit the target from 20, 30, 40 or even 50 metres away?
There will be free boomerang lessons as well as a cultural experience with the opportunity to meet local indigenous artists, and take part in activities.
Coffee van will be onsite and we are confirming other food options.
