About this Event
Held in Canberra, the event brings together speakers from government and industry to share views on emerging trends, practical challenges, opportunities, and avenues for collaboration between Australia and Japan.
The program will feature a panel discussion with:
- Isamu Yamaguchi (Minister, Embassy of Japan in Australia)
- Chris Hewett (General Manager, Australian Space Agency)
- Mihoko Matsubara (Chief Cybersecurity Strategist; NTT, Inc.)
- Kate Kitagawa (Professor of Practice in Space Research and Education, La Trobe University)
offering informed commentary on current priorities in space capability, cyber security, and technological innovation.
Representing the Australia–Japan Business Women’s Network, Natsuko Ogawa (Partner, Ashurst) will provide an overview of the Australia–Japan landscape, focusing particularly on cooperation between government and business.
Open to the public, the forum aims to make complex and rapidly evolving topics accessible to a broad audience, including professionals, researchers, and community members interested in technology and international cooperation. Attendees will gain up-to-date insights and engage with key issues shaping the future of the space and cyber domains.
Dinner: Attendees are also invited to a dinner organised by AJBNW to celebrate their Canberra Chaptyer launch commencing at 6.30pm. Tickets for this are available here: https://events.humanitix.com/ajbwn-canberra-chapter-launch
