About this Event

ACETIE - the premier and most influential business and investment platform connecting Australia and China

The Australia-China Economic Trade and Investment Expo (ACETIE) was launched in 2018 by private business professionals and commercial institutions from both Australia and China. Its aim is to harness the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to promote and strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations, serving the interests of the business communities and the welfare of people in both nations. This significant event has gained support from the commercial departments of both governments and has seen enthusiastic participation from business communities, making it the most influential business event between the two countries.

Previous editions of the Australia-China Expo have seen active participation from thousands of enterprises and institutions from both countries, showcasing nearly 10,000 products. The event has featured hundreds of political, business, and academic leaders delivering speeches, attracted tens of thousands of visitors, and garnered extensive coverage from major mainstream media outlets in both nations.

The Australia-China Expo has received official support from the Australian Federal Government’s Trade Commission, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Victorian State Government. It is co-organised with the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) and the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia (CCCA). The ACBC, established in 1973 with branches in major Australian cities, is one of the Australian government’s key business advisors and the most authoritative organisation in the field of Australia-China economic and trade cooperation. The CCCA, established in 2006, is a joint organisation of Chinese enterprises in Australia, with member units from various industries across the country.

The Expo’s organising committee is chaired by the Hon. Andrew Robb, former Australian Minister for Trade and Investment, who has played a pivotal role in promoting and leading free trade agreements between Australia and several Asian countries, including China, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
