
Austin-based nonprofit organization Raasin in the Sun founded by creative placemaker and public art force Raasin McIntosh announces the official launch of ART for ALL a new initiative aimed at cultivating safe respectful and creative spaces that engage unhoused participants while uplifting and beautifying the community through art. Through ART for ALL individuals experiencing housing or economic insecurity will have the opportunity to collaborate on mural panels and installations receive same-day pay and connect with essential services including behavioral health support employment resources shelter clothing and food. Certified Recovery/Peer Specialists will be on-site to provide guidance and support. The ART for ALL program will kick off with their first Public Workshop on Saturday Oct. 18 at the Austin Central Library located at 710 W. Cesar Chavez St. Austin TX 78701. The workshop will start at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Future Front Texas Founding Executive Director and ART for ALL partner Jane Hervey will lead the workshop educating and engaging with attendees on ART for ALL’s mission.
