Registration is required.An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) original adaptation of The Secret Garden Monday, March 9 from 3:30 pm to 5:30pm. Those auditioning should arrive by 3:30 pm and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition until 8pm following a break from 5:30-6pm.
Students 1st grade through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30pm -5:30pm and 6:00- 8:00 pm each day.
The Secret Garden will be presented on March 14 at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center at 1 pm. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Old Saybrook is presented locally by The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.
There is no charge to be in the show but there are no complimentary tickets for performers. Everyone must purchase tickets to attend the performance.

Synopsis:
THE SECRET GARDEN, an original Missoula Children’s Theatre rendition, is a joyful retelling of a story of hope and a celebration and all good things in life. Mistress Mary Quite Contrary embarks on a journey from India to her uncle’s home in England. Along the way she makes friends with the hilarious Canadian Geese and the colorful Giant Bugs that Rock! In time she learns to appreciate everything around her, including the Moor Animals and the helpful Fireflies. Add to that a good healthy dose of caring, and what happens? Colin, Martha, Archibald – well, the whole household - begin to enjoy the return of health and happiness in a garden carefully tended…until it blossoms once more.
