Everyone deserves a second chance...
When Tessa is called to a broken-down auditorium to produce a play, she’s all too aware the crew is unified by one common quality – they’re all banned from at least one community theatre, including her.
Taking a chance, Tessa joins Jack, the laid-back director, to keep the Misfits on track despite arguments galore, slightly shady techies, competing divas and pesky vermin. But when a mishap endangers both the show and the Misfits, can Tessa overcome and embrace her fresh start or will they all be left broken hearted?

Video submissions will also be accepted. Please complete the audition form in full, including your character preferences. On the final question of the form, indicate that you’d like to receive details about submitting a video. In order to be considered, you must fill out the form by December 30th and have your audition video submitted (no memorization necessary) by January 1 at 9:00 PM.
🎬 Performances: The Misfit Players will run for six performances, February 27 – March 8, at a venue in or near Sterling, VA.
📅 Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be held at Sterling Community Center and other locations in or near Sterling, VA. See the more detailed, tentative calendar below.
🎤 What to Expect at Auditions: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Monologues and scenes will be available to review 30 minutes prior to your audition slot.
Those auditioning for Tessa should prepare to sing the final bars of “It Had to Be You” (as featured in the opening scene). An example of the song can be found here at approximately 2:23 in the video. You may perform the song in any key or style of your choice.
