OVERVIEW
Sister Anzac tells the story of a matron with three nurses experiencing war for the first time. They travel to Gallipoli on board the NZ hospital ship Maheno. Later they go to France. One thing is certain, only they, like the men, will ever understand what happened to the Anzacs.
There is a local connection - the Matron on the Maheno was from Taranaki and also worked as a nurse in Hawera.
By arrangement with Playmarket, the play written by Geoff Allen, is to be directed by Clive Cullen
