Kick back and relax in Stratford’s picturesque parks this January for Stratford District Council’s free Summer Nights concert and movie events.On Saturday 25 January, whānau can get comfy in front of the outdoor big screen for our Summer Nights movies in the park.
Being held for the first time in Victoria Park, next to the Stratford Bike Park, families can enjoy Trolls Band Together at 4pm and Wonka at 5.45pm. Two movies that won the community’s vote, fighting off some fierce competition, on SDC’s Facebook page when asked earlier this year.

There'll be some snacks available to purchase on site and you can also pack a picnic from home or support local with takeaways from our Stratford eateries.
On site we'll have:
Safe Delights - 100% gluten free, main meals and chips, deserts, and coffee.
Mr Kool - Lovely soft serve ice-creams
Getting there
Parking is available on the streets surrounding Victoria Park, including Regan Street, Cordelia Street and Orlando Street.
If you're coming from outside of Stratford, turn onto Regan Street/SH43 from the northern Broadway roundabout.
What can you bring
Umbrellas and chairs, but we ask that you consider others when setting up so that everyone can have an enjoyable experience.
A picnic if you don't wish to purchase food at the event.
