Performances: December 5-21, 2025
It’s time to carry the banner on your stage with Disney’s Newsies! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right!

Auditions will consist of a vocal audition, brief reading, and dance call.
Please prepare 32 bars (about 1 minute) of music and bring sheet music for the accompanist. For the reading, please prepare one of the audition monologues linked below; memorization is invited but not required. Dance call will consist of learning and performing choreography. Performers will be invited to show off special dance skills (flips, cartwheels, etc.) if they choose. Please bring tap shoes if you have them for an optional tap combo at the end of the dance call.
Please sign up for a time slot for both reading and vocal auditions, and return for Dance Call at 8:30 the same night.

Performers ages 10-14 will be considered for the role of Les. Auditions for Les will occur Monday from 6:30-7:30. For all other roles, auditions are open to performers ages 14+.
