Coasters Musical Theatre is proud to present the New Zealand premiere of Girls Night The Reunion!Our five 50-something friends are back together at their 40th school reunion. They’re facing new challenges like hot flushes, grown up children, failed marriages and everything that comes with middle age! Sharon has managed to hang onto her wings and the others are still navigating life together. They re-live the past and reveal a couple of surprising secrets! But as always, the warmth of their friendship carries them through. Girls Night – The Reunion tells us that life is messy, but it’s much easier to navigate with good friends.
We are lucky enough to have two of our original actors from Girls Night and Girls Night Too returning and are now looking for three more performers with strong singing voices to join them.

Character descriptions:
Carol is 50-something, confident, well dressed and likes a drink – the perpetual party girl! She was Sharon’s best friend and has been married, divorced, married, divorced and married. Turns out she found the answer to marriage but didn’t realise it. Well, we all kiss a lot of frogs before we find a prince…Everyone knows and loves a Carol.
Anita is 50-something, naïve and uncensored and has had mental health issues all her life. The friends know about this but there’s never been any deep discussion between them as to why this is…such close friends but with hidden secrets. Her journey is like a rollercoaster. Will we find out at the reunion what Anita’s secret is?
Kate is late 40’s/early 50’s and is Carol’s little sister. She is quite prim and proper and a school teacher. Anita and Kate are quite close but despite issues with her sister Carol, the sisters are also close. Kate is quiet compared to the others but sticks with the friends. She is menopausal and with her hot flushes she’s relying heavily on her fans! She is very determined and is definitely the kind one.
