Director Tess Catlin, Producer Darren Lee, Musical Director Lara Gonzalez and Choreographer Elizabeth Pille are holding auditions for MCP’s Spring show, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!Explore life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. Struggle, celebrate, laugh and love with this charming musical that first opened in New York City in 1967. Charlie Brown and his pals are sure to capture the attention of all ages.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, January, 24 from 1 to 4 PM and
Sunday, January, 25 from 1 to 4 PM at the Mason Community Playhouse, 5529 Mason Road in Mason.
Adults 18+ are welcome to audition and must be able to embrace your inner child! The audition will include the opportunity to sing, read from a script, and dance. We ask that you prepare a vocal selection from a musical of 16-32 bars. Please bring sheet music or a music track to sing along with. Both an accompanist and bluetooth speakers will be provided. Those auditioning should fill out an audition form online below, or at the audition.

Headshots/resumes are welcome but not required. All roles are available.
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown will be performed May 1, 2, 7, 8, & 9 at 8:00 PM and May 3 at 2:00 PM at the Mason Community Playhouse. If you would like to be a part of the show, but cannot make it to auditions, please contact director Tess Catlin by commenting in the discussion.
The show’s characters include:
Charlie Brown: Central character of the musical. He is an everyday kid who tries his best and has a big heart.
Linus: Lucy’s younger brother and friend of Charlie Brown.
Lucy: Friend of Charlie Brown, very authoritative and brash, always tells things like they appear.
Patty: Tomboyish and casual, she is Charlie’s friend from across town.
Schroeder: Classmate and friend, he is a musical prodigy with a dry sense of humor.
Snoopy: Charlie Brown’s dog, he is fun loving, but overly dramatic at times.
Woodstock: Snoopy’s best friend and sidekick. He is a fierce and loyal bird.
