Jonesborough Repertory Theater is honored to host the world premiere of the newest Jones Hope Wooten comedy, “The Chicken-Fried-Fabulous Spa-Dee-Dah Sisterhood.” The show will be presented May 9-18, 2025 at JRT.Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday, Feb. 9-10, at 7 p.m. at JRT and will involve readings from the script. The following roles are available:
• Bobby Dewayne Dillahunt (50s) – gregarious, rugged good looks
• Crystal Hart (50s) – daffy, lovable; must be able to sing
• Mavis Flowers (65) – brusque but likeable
• Nita Mooney (50s) – sweet, uncomplicated
• Sugar Lee Thompkins (50s) – vivacious
• Carlene Travis (50s) – no-nonsense gal with a dry wit
• Glorietta Dewitt (60s) – wealthy, un-kind know-it-all
• Hardy Womble (late 50s) – a fun guy, businessman
Rehearsals will begin in mid- to late March.
